Snow of 2010

After spending five days in 80+ degree weather in Mexico, we get hit with snow and ice. The dogs thoroughly enjoyed themselves in the backyard and on their walk today. Millie likes to stop and eat the snow, while Sam trots on and pratically walks me!

Sam was staring down the ducks in the pond.

Mexico

We kicked off 2010 with a trip to Mexico as a reward from my company! Brent and I spent 5 days at the Iberostar Grande all-inclusive resort. The resort was beautiful, weather was absolutely perfect and the friends we were with made the experience. Brent participated in the company golf outing on our first full day, while I rested on the beach with the girls. On Friday, we ventured off of the property and went on a two hour horseback riding excursion. The ride went for an hour in the jungle and about thirty minutes on the beach. The view was breathtaking as we approached the ocean with the horses. We learned about the local vegetation, animals, and met two of the funniest tour guides! We also ventured to Playa del Carmen for a few hours one morning to do some shopping and see what the town was like. The beach in Playa was beautiful. I think we would have planned to stay longer if we would have known more about the beach and bars! We were definitely sad to leave the resort, but hopefully we will make it back next year!
